"I built this mission style bookcase out of solid quartersawn white oak. [...] Staying true to the mission style I used through mortise and tenon joinery pinned with square pegs."
Sheri's Garden Stand is this month's "Editor's Choice".
Oh My!!! There is definitely more to this story. The description simply says, "Glad it’s over! Made of Padauk, Walnut and Maple"
I just love this: "Well now that Christmas has come and gone, I can share the project that we (my daughter and I ) created for 2016. She asked that we make them early this year as she is a pastry chef and gets very busy at Christmas. So we did them in October and put them aside till Christmas. In the summer when we go canoeing together we discuss and decide what we will build. So we thought that everyone could use a nice wooden waste basket."
Brian shares the love he put into this special gift: "This is a gift for my wife. [...] I must have messed up the alignment of the hinge mortices because the box doesn’t close all the way. That’s probably a good thing since neither the box nor the lid are square. Dang, making these little boxes is hard. [...] Anyway I’m sure my wife will love it. She’s very forgiving."
